Ex-FC Twente Player Brenet Signs One-Year Contract with Qatar's Al Rayyan

Rick Brenet, a former FC Twente player, has signed a one-year contract with Qatari club Al Rayyan.

The 29-year-old defender left FC Twente at the end of the 2021/22 season after making 66 appearances for the Dutch club. He has also played for NAC Breda and PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands, as well as for the Curacao national team.

Brenet is the second former FC Twente player to join Al Rayyan this summer, following the signing of midfielder Michael Sadilek in June.

Al Rayyan are one of the most successful clubs in Qatar, having won the league title 8 times, most recently in 2015/16.
